Built as the wartime home of the USAAF 453rd Bombardment Group, today Old Buckenham is one of the most famous and vibrant centres of aviation in the UK.
The home of the UK's first electric aircraft charging point (fourth in the world to be all solar-powered) we're also home to dozens of companies including an electric aircraft R&D and manufacturing facility, rocket scientists (with occassional launches), two museums and an Award Winning Airshow.
We're available to visiting aircraft from the UK, EU and Channel Islands. If the weather allows, we're available 0800 - 2000 every day except Christmas.
PPR is always required and we've got unique systems which will allow you to see all the up-to-the-minute information as to what conditions are like, and the facilities available.

Hollywood legend Jimmy Stewart was the first Operations Officer of Old Buckenham when it started life with its first and most important residents; the USAAF 453rd Bombardment Group.
We built a museum to them in 2014 and it houses the largest collection of 453rd memorobilia in existence.
We're also in the process of restoring 12 acres of Wartime buildings and infrastructure, including a Memorial Park in the shape of a B-24 tail.

The Liberator Restaurant
Our new restaurant opens on the 6th January 2023
We've got a new chef, menu and operator for and the restaurant, designed by American interior stylist Signature Hamilton, has far more serving space than ever before.
Please bear in mind that we don't have hundreds of staff. Those that we do usually have to be a part of keeping the Aerodrome running, so we can't answer every call. You're best bet is using the form below, but by all means try calling:
